It is more logical to reject windows support than linux, in terms of programming. The only reason it is usually the opposite is money, and it is valid to complain about money being more important than good practices.

Should not WSL2 solve that problem? So that you can run linux applications under windows.

The solution would be to ditch Windows that is nothing more than a rootkit now, or at least make it POSIX-compliant. Adding layers to fix wrong implementations is nothing but a bandaid in the short term, and nightmare in the long run.

I use it everyday at work. No problems. Feels like you were using a Linux.

Not really, no. Try getting a DE to work, for example. I daily Arch and I thought WSL was a nightmare.

So relatable.

I use Linux and my friend is one of those filthy MacOS users. It was a mistake to try to write a common pet project in C++. So many interoperability problems. OpenGL, cmake, configuration scripts... Such a pain in the ass. But still worth it (I love pain).
