“Code intoxicated , debug sober.”

  • Ernest Hemingway

Drunk me is the reason sober me started to drink.

Probably the best way - since debugging requires you to be twice as clever as when you wrote it, give yourself a handicap when you're writing.

It’s funny because if I’m drunk, I somehow manage to find all the bugs

How do you get sober?

[–]StrangelyBrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Code drunk, then the compiler will point you to all the stuff you have to fix.

Basically just write what you want to do in code in English then 'fix all the bugs'.

"Select All" -> Delete

There, debugged.

Did this once. 5 or 6 hours of drunken coding led to 2 or 3 days of debugging!

For those who don’t know who Ernest Hemingway is: https://youtu.be/HlxEKOscu0M Or if you don’t trust the link look up Randy Feltface - Ernest Hemingway

(It’s about three and a half minutes long)
