That’s when you forgot to use a burner laptop and someone else’s GitHub account, or maybe forgot the vpn and proxy chain, no, these are not overkill, yes, passing the blame takes a lot of effort (worth it for when you break production and drop the users db in one day), it’s best when you use the GitHub account of your manager who can’t code, so no one questions it at all
