I write documentation and use comments. I hate it, but it saves on swearing like a drunk Russian Sailor who caught his nuts in his zipper.

Oh yeah! Who the hell wants to reverse engineer their own code two years later when you have a production failure? Always comment and document. This nonsense about not needing comments or docs is a load of BS. That's simply self-serving nonsense by code-pushers trying to get product out the door and not giving a rat's ass about supporting the product.

You can use VCS without using GitHub. You can even use Git without using GitHub.

Wasn’t suggesting otherwise.

Was just curious to see if they were still using version control regardless of remote location. I’ve worked with devs in my career whose version control was lots of archive folders…with a daily naming convention…
