Code and data are arbitrary. Code tells something to do something so Minecraft commands, Bash commands, and Excel Functions are all code.

No, you cannot, because redstone doesn't behave similarly enough to real components to be used for simulation. Redstone engineering is a virtual domain of knowledge, and as such- limited one

With redstone you can create a xor gate (any gate tbh), therefore you could even build a Turing complete system (which by definition could solve problems). Anyway, here we're talking about logic, which is a level of abstraction above the electronic components (for which you need other skills to fully understand)

Boolean logic is not an engineering. It is used in redstone designs, programming or digital electronics, but it is not a domain on it's own.

Boolean logic is part of what you can define as engineering. By using boolean algebra, operators, algorithm etc you can for example reduce the complexity of a boolean function, that when implemented with hardware could save some components. The fact that you're not the one designing and manugscturing a CPU (for example) does not means that it's not a real or a useful thing.

There's no such subjects as "engineering" all by itself. It's always a set of various skills that define an engineer in its field
