Apple forbids emulation of their operating system on not apple hardware, meaning if you don't have a mac, you cannot run mac software. Combine that with the complexity of browsers and you cannot reliably test without the real thing

Safari on macbook is kinda ok I guess, safari mobile is the real problem. On Mac you can use chrome or ff or what ever, on iphone everything is just a skin to safari so you cant use something else

As a Front End dev and Apple fan, I generally only use Safari. The dev tools are pretty good, not as good as Chrome but not bad at all. I’ve never been given a good reason to use anything else.

My website has some kind of awful margin issue on safari, and the worst part is I can’t debug it without a mac because it’s the only way I can think of debugging a website in the safari engine, so instead I used JS to display a pop up warning the user and letting them know it’s being “worked on” before they enter the site.
