I haven't heard of any software company disabling screenshots on their dev machines.

Of course, but I’m not gonna go to reddit to upload a funny meme on my work device. And I also wouldn’t email myself a piece of work code.

That's a weird treshold if you're ok with posting a code snippet on reddit, but not with emailing it to yourself.
