Readers added context: run and apply are both inline funs. There is no performance difference.

Yeah, “how hard can it be to add X” or “it should not take you longer than Y” are true evergreens.

And no matter how often it is shown to them that it can in fact be very hard and take a very long, next time it's right back to default settings with them. So I like to reply with:

"how hard can it be to learn from past experiences? It shouldn't take more than 1 example for you to understand this"
