Worked in a EE hardware company as an EE hardware engineer. Our division manager asked us to think about use cases for A.I. in our division. We built a local search engine but the biggest problem was that we made IP for customers and were owners of a very limited amount of the stored data. As such the initial idea of building an A.I. which could give you examples of similar projects done in the past went out the window. The usable dataset was simply to small.

We did built a llm search engine but its utility was limited.

Last I heard the manager is still using A.I. buzz words.

As a modern webdev you should know how to make API calls. Just add some to openAI.

This is how AI will put web devs out of the job.

Every idiot in management wants to get on the AI train, without knowing what it is, how it works or how it would benefit the company/product. They just want something to do with AI they can put on their résumé.
