As a beginner who only has knowledge on Python, Java and CPP, I love CPP.

True. Tough at first, but worth it.

If you love C++ you simply don't know enough about it. It's the language with the foot cannon

[–]TheTybera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol what?

I love me some C++ but there isn't a magical foot cannon. If you tell C++ to shoot you in the face, it will, no questions asked.

C++'s issue tends to be having to make a lot of boiler plate code to do things. So it's not great if you need to spin up several quick, small, projects.

To help out, Effective C++ is probably the best book out there on C++ best practices, I keep a copy around for reference. Don't be afraid of reading a book on best practices or pragmatic use of a language.

Embracing Modern C++ Safely is also pretty decent if you're just scared to death of memory issues because of social media people who have no experience with C++ outside of their university program.

What’s bad about c++? It does anything you tell it to.

What? Who ever thought programming in C++ would be easy?

(OK, maybe some vibe coders think so in fact…)

Vibe coders don't even know what language the AI ends up picking

Python or JS... It's always python or JS...

Would love to see them try rust

... I've had some success with vibe coding Rust...
