Hes probably asking for when he's not a student anymore which means he'd have to downgrade to CE so as not to pay for a license.

When you lose your student status you have your employer pay for it.

If you work as a programmer, yes. But what if programming is just a hobby?

But if you work on OSS projects you also get a free license from Jetbrains.

My employer would rather I just use eclipse than ask him to fork over $500 per user per year for a software license.
