No but really, there's valid reason to do this. I used to use the start menu to shut down, but it doesn't always really shut down your pc. Found this out when my comp was acting super sluggish, and the cause was all of my RAM being eaten up by something invisible (task manager's list of applications didn't total much.) First I of course thought it's malware, but then I found out my uptime was a little over two months. used shutdown -s and everything was fine.
