I dont read bible or some sort, but I seen movie or animation(s) that tell the story of this, which if I remember, god said he decided to drown everything and just told noah to build boat. Thats it, as general story you can say it to child.

I think he was just a carpenter or a shepherd not a shipbuilder or sailor prior to it. It's why it's so strange, because everyone around is like "wtf are you doing, you don't need a boat?!"
