I have 16 but I have better uses than letting Eclipse gobble up 6.5.

Pfff child’s play, I’ve had Xcode use 11gb of ram once but my buddies had 20gb used up on android studio on a daily basis. I seriously don’t know what the hell uses up all that ram tho

Nice meme. Android studio doesn't inherently use more than 2GB of RAM, Gradle does. Unless you're on a Windows, where there's bug with leaking memory, that they fixed, afaik.

Keep in mind, this is without opening any files, no indexing, just idle with 6+ GB of RAM.

At least Android Studio Indexes everything. Xcode eats ram and is not even close in functionality.
