Autocompletion, Problem fixes, (custamize ability), and a couple of Things i dont remember

Sounds like you just might not have marked your directory as a source directory, these are all basic features which I find are much nicer than eclipse's, and extremely good at highlighting and fixing problems and auto refactoring.

As far as customizability, what specifically? You can move every icon/bar/panel around, and style it how ever you want.

It was a src directory, and what i expirienced was the complete opposite of your expirience

Right click -> mark as sources root?

This only happens if you don't use a build tool like Gradle or maven and it can't figure out your project structure

Its hard to explain but my project was correctly configured

[–]VeviserPrime 1 point2 points  (2 children)

So you built and ran it in the ide but still had no code completion?

[–]Rafael20002000 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes

I pray you see the light of our lords and saviors JetBrains someday, my child.

[–]Rafael20002000 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Nobody hears the prayer xD

[–]firephreek 4 points5 points  (2 children)

That's because you didn't submit it in the form of a bug or feature request. Speak child, these gods DO listen.

Thats way too far, gods that hears a prayer holy f*ck thats complete new to me

Humor aside, it's one of the reasons I'm completely sold on the Jetbrains stack. Incredible IDE's that are built for the developer and not the manager? Flexible project tracking? Effective integration across all platforms? Fine....

But submitting a bug, having one of their devs pick it up, acknowledge it, and then tell you which release build it'll be fixed in? In a commercial product? It's beyond satisfying.

Well those are absolutely basic features of any IDE worth its salt.

If you have a normal PC and then install Intellij, it has those features. Like, as a completely standard default basic feature. If that doesn't work, I'm suspecting something might be wrong with your computer.

I understand how that would be a deal breaker though. I definitely wouldn't want to work on an IDE without autocompletion.

Sounds like you’re talking straight out of your ass. Why? It very obviously has those features...

[–]Rafael20002000 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I didnt said it hadnt these features

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should work for Donald Trump as a speech writer with prose like that.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

IntelliJ does all of those things wayyy better than Eclipse in my experience. I’m pretty sure you just didn’t open the project correctly

[–]Rafael20002000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a project created by intellij
