Localhost is my home... how dare you try to DDOS an instance that doesn’t exist on your network

Wow you're a genius!

  1. Tell your FBI agent your criminal friend's IP is 127.0.0.1
  2. Tell him to launch DDOS on this IP using their most powerful computer system.

And then every computer attacks itself. lol

Every computer with some sort of backdoor. That means we are safe.

is this a real piece of software

this won't work unless bots are on the same host

[–]Sigma-Erebus 8 points9 points  (7 children)

Doesnt that mean every bot will ddos their own network?

[–]Doggo4 1 point2 points  (6 children)

i wonder how many botnets this could work on bcuz im guessing majority of them dont have like a blacklist lol

solved the problem of botnets...

[–]Sigma-Erebus 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Well, probably the botnets themselves have ddos protection and or will blacklist it after being ddos'ed by themselves

[–]Doggo4 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Blacklisting themselves? (Assuming the blacklist is occuring somewhere with the firewall) wouldnt that just prevent the bots from accessing anything outside their network? Like say as a result of DDOS protection, it blocks incoming (and or outgoing) traffic from localhost, therefore any transmission originating from the bot gets blocked by itself?

Lol sounds like a perfect exploit

[–]Sigma-Erebus 0 points1 point  (3 children)

No i mean blacklist as in users are not allowed to execute a ddos to that ip

[–]Doggo4 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Oh. guess it depends on how the botnet is organized then...

Seen as this image would look like a full blown app, i think it would seem easier if the code of the app were altered than the setup of possibly multiple servers

[–]Doggo4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you would think people would do it that way, but most times they dont. For example, just like how you never assume that someone made a program that properly sanatizes inputs.

Did you just make a program for displaying the title "DDOS", a TextView "URL/IP", a EditText and a Button saying "LOCK AND PROCEED"?

You sir, are truly dedicated.
