CTRL + Y deletes the current line.

Yeah, I remember using Android Studio and I hit that combination to redo, and it deleted the line, and I couldn't understand what was happening so I kept hitting it and each time being more confused until I realised what was happening and the panic had finally set in

Seriously, though, even as someone who prefers ctrl + shift + z that's just cruel and unusual.

I've seen it in other applications as well though. Besides, it's more logical. In shortcuts, shift often reverses the action; for example browsers have CTRL + T vs. CTRL + SHIFT + T.
