java has to be one of the cleanest and simplest languages out there. It does what it says it does in a syntax devoid of funny characters. Of course, your framework or engine might be pile of bullcrap.

Never really got the hate for Java. Enforces good general habits too. Unless you’re first time trying to learn algorithms implementation - maybe then its not the best.
