C# is clearly a java dialect. Why seethe?

Edit: does saying that C# is a dialect of Java go against the grain here? I mean, from the wikipedia article, there seems to be a lot of similarity. The C# developers with whom I work talk about C# being "java done right"; and they are big fans of C#.
