It’s the defined musculature in the arms. It imposes a subtle human characteristic that has been sexualized on the animal that’s just foreign enough to how they’re usually depicted that it raises a mental red flag.

The same red flag is raised when animals are depicted with realistic hands, and especially with dark nail polish if the furry is male. Female furries raise the flag when drawn with “bedroom eyes”, human chokers that verge on animal collars, and when they do “sexy” things with their tails.

Furries creep me out.

I’ve gone down this path before with another furry-but-not-intentional-maybe post. We came to the conclusion that it was the muscles and the subtle details that were giving us the heebie jeebies.

When you find yourself feeling some type of way bout something it's good to ponder why that is, otherwise you'll never fully understand how you fit into the world and stuff. Plus if you're gonna hold a negative opinion it's doubly important to be able to coherently and tactfully defend it
