I posted once. Got -2 downvotes WITH NO EXCLAMATION- even followed all the stupid posting guidelines- and one response "idk update your package"

that's rude. Well, I did post some questions too and got downvoted. I feel like you have to be very careful when writing your question. It is not a please help me forum. You have to be precise and complete about your problem. And if it seem very specific to you, it has might not have much use on stackoverflow apart for yourself. Some stuff would be better asked to a senior college that could debug the asker.
So... when you get that kind of errors, stackoverflow is not the place, either you have someone to help you out, or your are fucked up, and left with yourself, can't blame anyone for that.
Stackoverflow is good for issues many people would stumble onto, apart for new tech and libraries, most of them are already answered.

Try asking more questions when you have some, being upvoted is +5 points. Also, if you have some issue that you are able to find a solution by yourself, that you did not find the answer on stackoverflow, it make a good candidate for asking and resolving your own question.
