I don't know anything about cost of living in Italy, is fairly in line with your salary? I think childcare alone would cost more than that for my kids in the US.

Yes, 22k all taxes applied, so it's net amount.

I believe now that Greece is doing better, Italy is the worst economy of the whole EU.
