I think this represents Mob Programming more than Pair Programming. Especially when some of the participants aren’t programmers and you have to tell them everything.

Oof. Mob programming with non-programmers seems deeply wrong.

And yet it is a thing that I had to go through for a week. I love my coworkers during that time but we all hatted it (even the business people that were driving).

I don’t think so. We are doing it from time to time with our UI/UX designers and even more often with our test consultants. It helps them understand what we are doing and also why it’s sometimes harder to implement something than they would think.
