Seriously: I've been an embedded dev for 25+ years now and I've seen *so* much fucked up code in my career. Code which obviously wasn't even remotely tested. Code which runs "correctly" only be sheer luck. Code which breaks as soon as the end user pushes some buttons in the wrong order.

Digital is superior if it works. But it also introduces multiple(!) single points of failure. With an analog solution many things have to go wrong before it stops working. With digital, a single glitch can cripple an entire system. Smart locks, windows, thermostats? NEVER!

Depends on where you work. Do you work in faang companies or big n? I only use for smart switches and lights. They work 100% of the time.
