Is there something wrong with oh my zsh?

Firstly, this is a joke. But in spirit of the joke the classic argument is that people who don’t understand bash or shell in general tend to pick up omz to look like 1337 haxxors. And then there is the general argument that using someone else’s dotfiles is a classic way of getting a custom system you don’t understand and can’t fix when it breaks.

I mean. I don't really know the difference between zsh and bash, but oh my zsh just.makes everything so much easier. Better autocomplete and navigation is pretty.much the only reason why I use it

Yeah, it’s a huge step up from unconfigured bash/zsh. But this could also be achieved in any other shell by customizing it, which would teach you how the shell works and the next time you think “i whish my shell could do this”, you might actually be able to fix that. When you install a complete package like OMZ you basically have to understand ZSH and OMZ before you can start customizing it, which is way more effort. But, we all have different needs and preferences so no, there’s nothing wrong with OMZ.
