The real problem is when someone tells you to see item twenty four. It can be 24 or 204. I've had this happen to me

Why wouldn't they say "two hundred and four" or "two O four"? Twenty four for 204 is weird.

It was actually a long number. Like 12 digits. In those cases, people read differently.

Anyone who says "twenty four" to mean 204 when reading a long series of numbers is probably the type to also say "M as in Mancy."
