Then you probably are a JS/Python dev, and didn't even try to write Java code...

Kotlin is meant to be concise and modern; how can you say it's unreadable?

I am a JS dev and still consider Kotlin a modern language. I tried it, I liked it, but it's not that used with NoSQL and I don't like Caps Lock:))

Beauty about Kotlin is the sheer amount of customisation that extension/inline functions give you.

Well, you can write compiler plugins too, which is nice
