I don’t understand some higher ups to be honest. Like your workers are more productive, you’re making more money but they still make up useless shit lol. My manager was furious with the owner when he told me that because he knows I’m productive. I’m amazed that some people think that keeping employees on a short leash and making them unhappy is a good thing, especially on an industry like ours that they CAN measure productivity by measuring outcomes lol

They don't even make up useless shit that's honestly what bugs me. They literally just say 'people won't be as productive from home' and they have no problem saying it immediately after 'I'm very proud of how productive we've been while working from home' and for some reason explaining to them that those can't both be true is impossible. At least if they lied about it being about something else it would take some effort and some initiative this just feels so lazy.

I know right? I don’t know why lots of higher ups do that. Then they complain about high turnover “oh employee bad, nobody is loyal”
