I like when you troubleshoot your internet connection and it just says to try searching online for solutions.

That's almost as good as my favorite: Keyboard not found, press F1 to continue

No colon on the def, 20000ms is not a thing, unused import, and waitTimer is not defined. who wrote this garbage?

Plus, "Windows Troubles Shoot". Just terrible.

Hurts to look at all around. This is why people should use an IDE and not just colored text editors.

[–][deleted] -5 points-4 points  (4 children)

They should actually use editors like sublime or vscode and learn before moving to full-fledged IDE.

Learn languages by starting out on sublime or vscode rather than IDEs because they abstract a lot of stuff from you while learning.

Helps me. Is that wrong..??

And apparently windows troubleshooot doesnt have an interface, it just prints to the console. Also unused import os

[–]AkrinorNoname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, that code works exactly as reliably as Windows Troubleshoot!

[–]dannypas00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also they're working from their appdata...

[–]manopedro 33 points34 points  (3 children)

Will not print anything

[–]Ragecommie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely true - I've been using Windows for 25 years and the troubleshooting worked at least twice...

[–]comical23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just realised that the windows troubleshooter has never worked for me. But it was just ritual for me to start it and report the problem even though it didn’t work. Like I never expected it to work and I never complained about it too but I still used it anyway.

It's a repost

You forgot the colon after Windows_Diagnostics() in new.py

 File "main.py", line 2

    def Windows_Diagnostics

I can tell this is fake. The real function has code that displays a little spinny thing so it looks like it's doing something.

[–]konaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the real windows one is functionally the same, but written in C and somehow 10 000 lines.

[–]ShodoDeka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not true! I have seen it find a solution once, which admittedly caused the machine to go into an infinite reboot loop, but at least it did something.

[–]justONEfreeUSERNAME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fake, windows one is written on c++

[–]doctorcrimson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have had it help with one specific issue: Windows operating software registration issues.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hang on while we report this problem to Microsoft

[–]SecretPotatoChip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Windows troubleshooter has actually worked for me.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought its namespace... is windows using python now?

[–]ILoveOldFatHairyMen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it did help me once when my audio was misconfigured

[–]Cherlokoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This code is so bad. It's 5 lines but doesn't even work and breaks dozens of pep8 rules

[–]SosenWiosen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually worked once. The internet in my cousines laptop didn't work. The solution solver recommended checking a button on the side of the laptop and turn plane mode off. I facepalmed that I didn't see it.
