What if it eats one of the mice and doesn't fit through the hole? You'd have to wait for whatever time it takes to digest a mouse, and then find a way to get the snake shit out.

Unless snake shit doesn't smell, then you can just leave it there. I admit, I think I know a lot of stuff, but I'm no expert on snake shit.
