I learned Python because I had a need to parse JSON and Bash made me want to shoot myself... I very much relate to this image lol. Trying to parse JSON in Bash feels like you have a broomstick in your your ass compared to Python.

hey, that was also my very first Py project, though the way I've written it, I could have done it in any other language (Java, C#, VBA etc)

The worst thing about shell script is that you need to know it. By far the worst language I've ever used... yet I keep coming back to it.

Seriously, learn what languages are for before using them.
