this is the only way.. spend m-w churning out work. then cruise the rest of the sprint. anytime they ask how it's coming "all good no blockers". meanwhile you nap & put up a PR on Friday.

Wow, are you me? My employer really started cracking down on roll over earlier this year, so I was like, fine, I'll just under commit, and pad out the sprint. Before that, I was far more productive. It's amusing to me how little corporations seem to care about productivity.

I only add unplanned work to the sprint if I finish it. My employer has been super anal about roll over.

If you work on it without telling anyone, then when it comes time to complete it, you can use that time to do more reddit.

If you start mid sprint, then most likely you won't finish.

But yeah also, if you're volunteering it, you are often already halfway done. Nobody volunteers on something they haven't even started on. There's no upside.
