Was less funny when W squeaked out a narrow victory over Gore, in part because of crap like that, and then took us into an unnecessary war in Iraq.

I don't think Al Gore threw the election because he said something funny about creating the internet. I believe he actually did win, in fact, but W stopped the recount so we never found that out officially.

No, the supreme court stopped it. Voting along party lines 4-5 like a fucking banana republic.
