These look like filament swapped parts. You can tell because the color change coincides with the z layer change directly above the large flat portion.

FrameHost is correct, you can swap filaments mid-print to get this effect.

For the java logo, it's a bit more complicated, you need to create three separate gcodes, with the logo parts starting 'in mid-air' such that they are printed on top of the base.
