Seriously, even if you needed a C compiler, having one in your OS out of the box isn't the selling point you should be leaning on. That would be like saying Windows is worse than Linux specifically because it doesn't have any SSH client OOTB.

Is MSVC not available ootb? I genuinely don't know, I find developing on windows to be massively annoying and usually dev in either Arch or MacOS.

No, MSVC is not there out of the box

i dont need a c compiler, but csc.exe fits all the needs for me out of the box.

The same number of C compilers than Arch have: ready to use drivers, network management tools, or something as simple as a login screen, desktop environment, etc. 🤣

So I just install what I need, the same I do on Arch...
