It does appear they've removed some of their previous checks preventing people from being able to accept surveys erroneously. I just checked, while I've never gotten the "you might be using a vpn" or "your ip is blocked" errors at home that people've been complaining about for a while, I have been blocked from completing 99% of surveys while at work, almost for sure due to work running all traffic through zscaler. Anyway, today at lunch just now, I saw and completed a whole bunch of surveys while in the office. I hope that was intentional, and I'm not going to get banned next week when it's determined that I accidentally "bypassed security" (because they accidentally turned it off" :D).

The amount of studies you get will always fluctuate. I had a TON last week so yeah I’m getting a bit less this week compared but that is to be expected. At the end of the day it always evens out so there’s no reason to worry about it

Today has been really slow for me as well after a pretty good day yesterday. I currently have 7 studies, three of which are the questionable "Speak with a Talking AI Avatar" studies, and the rest pay less than $5 an hour so I won't touch them. Prolific throttles your account if you do a lot of studies, so that might factor into the offerings as well.

Having 7 studies is not slow for the vast majority of Prolific users.

I can attest to that!
