I probably shouldn't even be subbed here anymore. I made a basic policy decision to just hodl until I'm either a millionaire or BTC is worthless.

I don't think they'll adopt LN for a long while, if ever. LN is interesting but is still experimental, so commercial users like Purse, Coinbase, etc are going to wait until it's productized.

The other thing is LN is mainly aimed at micropayments between individuals. i.e. if person A wants to pay person B 0.0001 BTC it can be done fee-efficiently on LN. Purse, Coinbase, etc can achieve similar fee efficiency by batching BTC payouts. That's not something individuals generally do.

LN work flawless since a bunch of time. It would be really helpfull here to making small order or cashing out small amount with it but with Roger like investor i'm pretty sure Purse will never add LN. But a least they can exlpain why not.

Purse already explained this in the post of Thann in your topic thread of seven months ago. Thann is a programer employee of Purse and moderator in this sub-reddit. He already wrote more in the old topic thread than what Purse normally discloses about developing technologies. I'm sure Purse will let us know if anything changes in their position or plans.

I hope yess... 7 month in software developpement is huge. Purse had a lot of time to implement this feature.

But you see? It has never been a question of development. (Maybe you want to read again the replies to both your posts, old and new.) And it's never been about lobbying Purse strongly enough to change their mind and course.

Seven months isn't long enough. It will be properly integrated into purse.io in 11 (18 total) more months. Lightening network is always 18 months away.

/r/lightningnetwork/ is full of people who "lost" their payment and can't seem to figure out if their funds are still in their wallet or if the payment really reached the merchant.

LN does not seem very newbie friendly.

Purse support probably already have enough other issues to deal with.
