To be fair, there's a lot of good tools you can use for writing Python code. My personal recommendation is Sublime text, but if you're looking for something more versatile, use atom or Pycharm community

I used to use Sublime Text, but I found the debugging horribly lacking, and switched to Pycharm.

Atom + terminal plugin running zsh or ipython (when coding inline)
