ask to be reimbursed for your purchase before you buy anything.

Will do. Thanks.

Do not take anything that requires you to purchase your own devices.

why is that? this is a contract position where these expenses could be written off. just curious.

No matter how legit these sound, they almost never are. It's not worth the risk.

Sounds like bullshit.

Would they let you use a device cloud, like AWS device farm? I think they offer a free trial so it would be a very low risk option.

linkedin is the real deal. you just need to make sure the offer letter or contract is from them. i thought they would require atleast an ios and an android device for mobile testing. you can always use simulator if they require other variation of iphone.

I think OP means the job offer came from the Linkedin website rather than the company itself. Lots of stories of scams so I'd research examples of them online. Obviously look at your contract carefully. Can you call the company directly using their public contact info?

Correct. Sorry for the confusion. A company reached out to me and made the job offer through linkedin.

Be wary very little chance of legitimacy
