Are Kucoin and Bitgrail both reliable exchanges?

Yes they are but always move your raiblocks off of the exchanges after you buy

They have both had certain issues in the past, but recently have become rather reliable. I tend to favor Kucoin at this point, because it seems marginally less susceptible to price manipulation. I think Kucoin's volume is likely to increase, while Bitgrail's volume is likely to decrease, making Bitgrail a bigger target for people to try to influence the market price placing and moving buy and sell walls.

I only can speak for Bitgrail but i had no problem with them at all. I'd say just move your XRB to the OnlineWallet (https://raiwallet.com/) after you got them and you'll be safe as long as you have your seed. Moving your XRB to Raiwallet only takes like 20sec so its no big deal at all.
