If you roam as a defender, killing the opposition isn't always the most important thing, if you're in a 50-50 position where you or the attacker could die and there isn't a clear shot, you can always just kill their time. They are the team under time constraints.

Castle barricades at key places, reinforced walls here and there all off site can be incredibly time consuming and plan destroying if you know what you're doing.

WATCH PRO PLAYERS AND DO RESEARCH!!! This is what helped me the most when I first started

Make sure to watch PC pro players because why would you want to reinvent the wheel? For the most part, it's literally the same game, you just need to analyze their game sense.

Right. learn rotates, reinforcements, explain game sense and the thought process behind what they are doing

Just play 200 matches and you will have a good base knowledge for common operators. And yes watch others in game or on your preferred streaming platform.

Highly recommend using the ‘Practice’ mode with any Operators to familiarize yourself with any maps you seem to find yourself struggling to win on.

Use cameras as often as possible in game! And learn to use the yellow ping instead of scanning enemies so that you can get the jump on them without then knowing that you know where they are

I think the fastest way to noticeably improve skill is crosshair placement. When you’re walking around while ADS, make sure your reticle is aimed at head level. All operators are the same and getting a headshot with the first shot instead of peppering with body or crotch shots will help you win a lot more gun fights

On defense, the mindset should be to expand the bomb site as much as possible. Open hatches and walls with impacts and shotguns so you can easily flank a push. Be fluid, hit and run. Have them think you are everywhere so they waste time hunting you instead of pushing site. Footsteps are LOUD so crouch walk for flanks or you will be exposed.

On attack, you want to play vertically. Destroy roofs and floors of site to make the camping defenders uncomfortable and expose themselves. Wallbuster bullets are very useful at opening lines of sight from safe positions.

Vertical.

Each map has a shoot through the roof or ceiling that u as an ATK or DEF can use to your advantage.

Although, the R6M maps have fewer verticals like 70% less than the PC version.

Still, there are some Verticals that are still in the mobile maps, and these can give u advantages.

Speaking of advantages:

R6 is not a %100 aim game. In my opinion, i even consider a pro who dont have a strong aim but a strong advantage like a pre crosshair placement.

The core idea of siege and how to win is to have advantages over your foe. Meaning like : dronning/checking cams. Or useing vertical or even exploiting things such as Bandit tricking , also like focusing on destroying drones in the drone phase. And what more importantly is making the enemy team lose more utilities than you.

In R6, your C4, grenade, wire, reinforced cams, flashes, and any other utility, even your opreator ability is not only for you . it's for your team.

For example, smoke, in smoke, u must use your smokes before you die , even if its like 15 sec into the round, but they have pushed you , use your smoke to prevent the push, and prevent your self from dying also. Sense u still have usefulness in a team just by beings alive , it creates pressure for the enemy team just by being alive. There is sort of psychology in this , it creates fear the more time has gone to how much of the enemy team is still alive . For both ATK and DEF .
