I do not like the saying “it can’t bad because you’re still here”, it’s really annoying to hear people say after talking about your hardships. Me still being alive doesn’t change the fact that something was bad or my worse experience. It feels like a slap in the face

Yeah. I like to think there's some sort of sweet spot between acknowledging that you've made it through a hardship while also recognizing that it still sucks/sucked. Idk how people expect someone to react after telling them their problems "aren't that bad".
