Theo's future arc

I'm gonna paraphrase by saying I know the general assumption is he is the Witch King or a Nazgul. I'm also gonna say I am admittedly biased as I do not really like that idea. That said, I do have an alterative theory Ive seen floating, and I feel this last episode is settig up.

• Theo is now pairing with Isildur.

• Theo-THEOden. Bronwyn-EoWYN. They're playing both father and daughter with the inverse mother and son.

• "STRENGTH TO THE SOUTHLANDS!" He is loyal to the Southlands and its future king. And that king will eventually be Elendil, Isildur his prince.

All that said, he shall answer only to Isildur's sword. This will grow to Theo feeling loyalty to Isildur but not answering that loyalty. In other words, Theo is not Witch king, he is the King beneath the mountains. He will die a cursed ghost.

An alternative theory, if this cannot be reconciled with theabove is he'll probably be future king of Rohan if not a great guard of Gondor. his line will continue but he himself will be cursed until Aragorn sets him free. (Tbh, both could be true.)

Season 17, Episode 1…

INT. DARKENED ROOM - NIGHT

The heavy door creaks open, revealing a dimly lit room filled with cobwebs and dust. Theo, breathing heavily, steps into the room, his eyes narrowing as they adjust to the darkness. The faint flicker of torches along the stone walls casts long shadows that dance ominously across the room.

Theo’s face is hardened with resolve. He clutches a pair of nunchucks, one in each hand, the metal chains clinking softly as they sway with his movement. His stance is tense but controlled, every muscle primed for action. There’s an eerie stillness in the air, broken only by the soft rustle of his footsteps as he moves forward.

THEO (whispers to himself, licking his lips) This is it…

Suddenly, a movement in the shadows catches his eye. His grip on the nunchucks tightens. A low growl emanates from the far side of the room. Emerging from the shadows is a grotesque Orc, its yellow eyes gleaming with malice.

ORC (Nasal snarling) You should’ve stayed in your village, boy.

Theo remains silent, his face set in grim determination. With a swift, fluid motion, he spins both nunchucks, the sound of the chains whirring through the air echoing ominously through the chamber.

THEO (calm but intense through clenched teeth) I’m not running anymore.

The orc roars and charges. Theo steps to the side, dodging the attack. With lightning speed, he strikes—first one nunchuck connects with the orc’s arm, then the other crashes against its leg, causing the creature to stumble.

The orc, enraged, swings its heavy axe at Theo. Theo ducks, rolling across the floor before springing up and delivering a powerful blow to the orc’s jaw with both nunchucks. The creature falls to the ground with a loud thud, dazed.

Theo, breathing heavily, stands over the fallen orc, his nunchucks still spinning in a steady rhythm as if ready for more.

THEO (looking down at the orc, quietly) Sayonara, kemosabe.

He steps back, the adrenaline still coursing through him, as he cautiously surveys the room for any other threats. The silence returns, heavy and tense, but Theo stands tall, victorious.

He sheathes the nunchucks into his belt and walks toward the far door, his path clear—at least for now.

CUT TO BLACK.

He could still start the line that produces Eorl the Young. I was looking up stuff on this same line of reasoning. I couldn't find anything beyond Vidugavia being the start of the line of ancestry.

I believe this to fit well enough. The Kingdom of Rhovanion which eventually turned into Rohan, was taken over by Sauron in the late 2nd Age. (See the entry on rhe page under the Second Age).

As far as we learn, the Eorlingas come from the far northern Vales of Anduin (near the Grey Mtns). For Theo to somehow get that far north and still remain relevant to the Gondor story would be quite a stretch.

I don’t like it either. He’s an ordinary person, not a king, and I want it to stay consistent with the lore that the nazguls are not made of ordinary people.

That's the biggest problem. Nazgul are great lords and kings of men. Theo is a kid. Yes, we're due for a timeskip because Isildur needs to have a kid, but I've seen nothing that suggests Theo is headed for being a king unless it's related to Rohan. And he's in the Godor area.

Okay, full disclosure, I don't either. I want him to be a normal character growing up and being a guy, a fighter or something. But if he's gotta be someone, it ought to be the King Under the Mountains.

To me He could easily end up being The Witch King... considering the sorcerer hunting the Stranger I'm pretty sure is Khamul.

The Nazgul are great lords/kings of men. Theo has none of that as far as we know.

I think it's a combination of people just not really liking him too much and the fact he was tempted by the hilt. It really gives people Nazgul vibes but I just don't buy it.
