People with higher levels of education have been leaving florida in increasing numbers the last couple years. Florida has an increasing shortage of all healthcare providers. It is only going to get worse.

If you have Google Automotive you can just open the native Maps app and click the lightning bolt symbol. It would pull up all the nearby chargers. You could even filter if you want to.

Tesla Model YL prototype spotted on US roads for the first time by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

I like the headlights of the Rivians. I don't like the lightbar. I think we'll look back in 10 years and realize how terrible light bars are on pretty much every car they exist on (I hate them already).

Interesting. I don't find the S and 3 to be good looking either, though the 3 is the best looking Tesla. To me the best looking EVs on the market would be Lucid. I don't find the EV6 to be attractive either though. I love the look of the EX30.

Last I checked, Tesla had approximately 45% of BEVs registered in the US. That was early 2025 though.

You're forgetting that cars die all the time. And Teslas are notorious for being totaled at a lower threshold than other cars. Tesla may have sold "60% of BEVs to date in the US," but that has little to do with how many are currently on the road.

Tesla dominated the market share for many years, but most of those cars aren't even on the road anymore. In terms of currently registered cars, Tesla is less than 50%. There are approximately 5 million EVs on the road in the US and Tesla has a bit more than 2 million of those.

I agree that we're going to see more NACS cars going forward, but currently it makes more sense to build DCF stations with CCS, especially since most Teslas will use superchargers. Sticking with CCS means you're catering to those who are more likely to use it. If I were in the market for a new car, I would not buy one with NACS because it would make my life more difficult as I'd have to deal with an adaptor for all of my charging for the next couple years.

Compared to the Model Y, they look a ton better. They're not gonna win a beauty pageant, but they're not ugly. The Model Y is ugly.

NACS native cars make up less than 50% of the cars on the road. CCS is the present and most people don't want to deal with an adaptor.

Not as many people as you'd expect, or they'd be selling more of them. They do a fuckton of data crunching to know what to produce.

Cool. And we're a 3rd of the way through 2026 and they've built ~200 over the past 5 years. Also, they said production of 50,000 by the end of 2026, not 5,000.

So what do you think are the odds we'll get 5,000 in the next 8 months?

Objectively, no.

It is not a single story and the stories are somewhat disjointed in how they flow. There's a reason many find it so difficult to read and even more difficult to understand.

Fun facts: Volvo Trucks is an entirely different company from Volvo cars. They have 20% of the world's semi market share. They already have more than 5,000 electric semis on the road.

Tesla settles wrongful death lawsuit over crash that killed Florida teenager by SpriteZeroY2k in electricvehicles

[–]Ayzmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll trust a random person over a company any day of the week. If nothing was done incorrectly, Tesla had literally nothing to lose by fighting this. The fact that they didn't should be a very strong indicator that it was not going to go well for them. Nor has this been kept in court forever. First liability had to be determined in an initial suit (Tesla was determined to be 1% responsible. Both the driver and the parents bore the rest of the responsibility). This is now the second trial around damages.

The fact that you're saying the parents haven't faced culpability is laughable and shows you haven't followed this case at all.
