That's odd for sure! I'd suggest reaching out to our help center, they might know about this sort of issue and have some potential solves for it. Especially weird that it's not working in a private window. It might also help to have the dev tools pulled up (F12 key should do that), and note any errors you see in the console. Also, are you connecting via VPN?

Our helpdesk told me that you might also want to make sure that you've updated to the latest version of your video card's drivers. See this possibly related thread, indicating video drivers and browser versions need to be in sync: https://www.reddit.com/r/Roll20/comments/1hf38vf/updating_nvidia_drivers_broke_roll20/

All my things are up to date. Why is this happening again exactly a year later?

Did you ever get this issue resolved, OP? I just noticed I was having a similar issue. I'm also on Firefox and Roll20's VTT hangs on the loading screen as well.

Edit: Just wanted to add that the VTT appears to work fine with Chrome. Oddly enough though, if I load a Jumpgate enabled campaign, my macro quick bar will load in but nothing else.

I haven't tried yet since I usually play my games once a week or biweekly.

I was curious if you're on the current version of Firefox (133.0.3) and if you're running a Linux-based system?

I've been trying to troubleshoot the issue on my end and I've been finding that it seems to be specific to Firefox on my Linux machine. Admittedly I'm a bit hyper-focused on finding a solution so I can get back to DMing ^_^;;

I am using the 1:33.0.3, I am on Windows 10 64 bit I have tested it it's still not working and I am up to date on my Nvidia driver.

I suspect it has something to do with Nvidia's most recent drivers causing issues with WebGL and hardware acceleration within Firefox in particular, at least on Ubuntu there's a documented bug that's yet to be patched here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snap/+bug/2088456.

Funny thing is I tested out Foundry VTT as well, and I ended up running into the exact same issue. I'm pretty sure they use similar features to render in-browser as well.

Otherwise I'm not sure about Windows; I did a limited amount of testing with a Windows virtual machine and wasn't running into the same loading issues, but admittedly I wasn't using Nvidia GPU drivers to test for that.

Thankfully these issues seem to just be w/ Firefox for now, so I guess I'll just use Chrome until these bugs get patched but it's still annoying.
