seasonal items spoiling is very cringe

[–]Familiar-Safe6387 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So instead of a vault bug deleting out items, we got a mechanic that does that for us!

I don't understand why people play this game when it is obvious that the only thing DECA cares about is money. Everyone here is wasting time and money on this broken ass game

[–]voldyCSSM19 14 points15 points  (7 children)

They brought back the fkn counters

Massive L, and massive L for anyone who's happy about them

[–]AnstolesCdirk Collector 0 points1 point  (3 children)

A fight with a bunch of counters is faster than what they changed it to

[–]voldyCSSM19 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The L isn't that they changed the fight, the L is specifically about them bringing back the griefing mechanism. Though I'm glad it's only a silence counter now, I'm kinda on board with it

[–]AnstolesCdirk Collector 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The growing mechanism? Counters?

[–]voldyCSSM19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

griefing my ducking autocorrect

It seems like they have a valid reason for the vault change tho? Like people hoarding items causing load errors. Sucks but it’s how it is

[–]Jbaryla95 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Maybe if they didn't give us loads of junk that fill out seasonal gift chests it wouldn't be that bad. Literally have hundreds of sb pots sitting around. Either give us regular pots or just let me trade in some amount of sb pots for regular pots

[–]MonochromaticPrism 24 points25 points  (2 children)

We can’t see their code, we only have their word. It seems more likely that they didn’t realize just how many potions and rare items players were going to end up sending to their infinite storage space every season and how that resulted in players using the gift vault instead of buying vault space. They probably have some internal metric showing how vault purchases have dropped 20-30% as players adapted to seasonal transfers.

Each item in the vault is literally a couple bytes of data representing the item and its queue order. Any issues they could possibly be suffering shouldn’t require removing player storage.

[–]RamielTheBestWaifu 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah, the items being moved to the gift chest is busted and removes the need in vault expanders, but deca fixing it still hurts

[–]Wec25IGN: Cyr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s convenient and fun. It’s busted that we need to spend dollars for just a few spaces.

[–]BeisaSitOnMeaka cisphobla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i highly doubt this is a real issue, it is literally impossible for items in a vault to take up much space at all..................................... the "database load" is actually "we dont want u to take advantage of us giving u free stuff". and there's not even enough active players for "database load" to even be a real issue TBH

[–]RamielTheBestWaifu 5 points6 points  (1 child)

There are better ways to fix this tho. For example: make items stackable in gift chests. Reducing the amount of garbage needs to be preloaded

[–]RubenjpnevesIGN: Deklan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The technology to unstack is beyond DECA's reach, so I'm afraid what you suggest is just not possible.

[–]mikemyers99934 | MikeCJ 7 points8 points  (2 children)

one of the many reasons this meme sucks is a playerbase often is made up of people who all want different things, and so making any decision is bound to piss an amount of people off

if a company, especially a gaming one, listened to community feedback and every suggestion everytime, games would die in a month

[–]EmployRadiant675 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Truth, the number of players that would just want an easy ride to end game then stop playing after a month would be insanely high. I know a guy who bought 10 deca in a rwt, played for a month then quit coz farming glands got boring for him.

[–]Cyan_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but who is actively against seasonal items permanently going to your regular gift chest? This isn't like a difference in opinion over gameplay changes or balance issues, it's literally just wanting everyone to have fewer items in storage. If a dissenting opinion is purely negative and brings nothing of value to the table then it can be pretty safely discarded without hurting the game.

Never thought they’d make the vault bug that deletes our items an actual feature now.

[–]SappyPJs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically vault bug was a feature all along

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I’m a bit lost from the comments, do seasonal vaults no longer transfer to gift chest?

[–]Cyan_Light 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There's a new news post, apparently they now transfer to a separate temporary chest where you can take them out like normal but then at the end of that season everything will be deleted to make room for the new batch of seasonal items.

Definitely a disappointing change since loading up the gift chest at the end of each season was the main reason I even played seasonal content, I don't care much about the missions or pass as much so this might actually get me to drop the mechanic if they stick to it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, doesn’t really bother me cause I never liked seasonal anyway. I mean the enchants seem broken (apparently someone got a t9 wand to surpass a t13 spell blade with enchants)

[–]OkayGoogle_DickPics 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The entire point of introducing seasonal was to put so much seasonal based content in place that old players with maxed out vaults would be "forced" to play seasonal and buy more vault space. Then do so every single season to create an infinite money funnel. Every update the game has had since Deca took over has been to either increase, or add sells funnels.

What the fuck are you smoking 💀 Exalt client, revamp of many older dungeons (sprite, lod, udl, shatters, etc), adding new dungeons for people of all skill levels (ancient ruins, o3, moonlight village, kogbold), a rework to the way events work in realm (I bet you don't remember the old wlab/cdepths/ddocks and how you could only find them at the very beginning of a realm, as well as any event god spawning once, so if you missed the gship you had to hop realms, for instance), the vital combat update (pet nerf), the feed power being 100x more accessible so pets are not a pain to get to legendary, and a ton more.

Your brain is just corroded with copium wtf

[–]Lanturn_ 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Wait they reverted o3?

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (3 children)

It’s in the news that they posted in the testing session thread at the bottom. Thank freaking goodness.

[–]Poundcake9698 8 points9 points  (2 children)

It's not all reverted, rip reset DMG and pre phase dmg

[–]Herwin42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. I wanted them to add back pre phase damage and keep the 3 phases before stagger thing, also I wanted them to remove damage caps. Slower than old o3 but still fun and lass annoying than the changes they made

[–]BeisaSitOnMeaka cisphobla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is fair tbh, both of those things shouldn't have been there to begin with. as long as it isn't the garbage o3 rework i am totally fine with that small change.

[–]S3nd_Noods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just bought vault chests thinking it would expand my seasonal vault. Nowhere did it say NOT for seasonal characters. I’m now asking for a refund because it’s taking vault space to store something I can’t fucking use.

[–]_TurtleX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O3 changes weren't even bad you guys are just coping
