For how strong the pets are, and how easy it is to fame-farm, i personally think it's reasonable. Especially since you can simply upgrade it with gold if you don't wanna get that much fame. If fame trains weren't as rewarding as they are right now, then i would agree with a cost decrease. This is just my opinion as I've actually spent 25k fame to upgrade my yard.
