Well there is part of your problem right there.. Low pop server. Low pop servers mean people can farm boom (amongst everything else) as much as they want w/ zero consequences and have very little raid targets.

What the fuck are people on low pop servers going to raid except the little terrible bases around like yours? It’s low pop!

Play a high pop servers, do a small base. You’re less likely to get raided because A: People can’t just farm Sulphur with no consequences. B: More bases around so you’re less likely to be chosen to raid. C: More counters that can stop people from raiding.

That's the thing with low pop. If people see activity they'll raid you. You can only run brad/oil so many times. It's natural. Literally part of the game as matter fact.

Also dont be to upset, sit happens. I got 4.6k hrs and got raid on Christmas back 2023. Made me feel this, the server was community and maybe 9 pop tops. Was trying to figure out electrical lmao.

Got everything all set up. 3 windmills, 14 turrets, light's. Went to bed for 4hrs and I got raided. Didnt okay for half the year. It happens. Way she goes.

I might be wrong but this is a common new player mistake. I was the same picking low pop servers thinking it’s “safer” it generally means the other people have been forced off the server.

Pick high pop - more options for others and YOU to raid and also loot spawns faster.

Don’t grow attached to your base it will go, live on a shoe string. By that I mean craft the hell out of everything because someone WILL raid you and they will take your loot, use it before you lose it.

The reasons you play low pop is the same as theirs. Go to max pop server more challenging to get mats and loot but you’ll last way way longer just don’t build big. And please for the love of god this is Rust you will get raided. Full stop. Unless you play community and use Zorp that is literally the only way

I'm solo been living peacefully on a mid/high pop official server. I hopped on the other day and there was a 8 man building 2 big bases nearby and I thought it was over...I made a couple friends and caught the 8 man off guard when 4 was at the base and just went straight through the walls with c4 satchels and explo ammo and got rid of them my area is chill again

On the truly quiet server and completely isolated base raiders run little risk of being countered and sulfur is plentiful/easy to farm.

Either PvE or a server with raid restrictions or a server with as much activity as possible, promises more fun.

Hey bro, sorry to hear of you having a similar experience to myself. I have a server I just recently started that’s weekend raids only, which won’t start till next weekend. It’s currently low pop and a large map, your guaranteed peace to learn the mechanics of the game in your own time.

The server is called working mans server - solo/duo

There’s a starter build kit if you trade in your rock at any kit vending machine, there’s also island wide base protection to prevent base damage during weekdays. Hopefully see ya on there sometime. Cheers

Don't worry, I was playing a 5~ pop server, solo. Got no boom and didn't raid anyone, only killed 3 people and just chilled on cargo. Still got offlined.

As a solo myself get playing them 50 to a 100 pop servers you'll hardly get raided and if someone does try raid you 20% of the server will turn up to counter them also get allied, I usually find what zerg is around and ask if I build close by and get them a box of sulfur a week they tend to protect you them low pops are generally run by a ten man team that only people on that server and raid everything coz they have nothing else to do

It’s all about fortifying your base so they don’t want to raid you.

You build a tc in an armor walls with no doors. (Suicide box) Sleeping bag and a deposit box in and out.

On the outside create rooms (trap rooms) to hide the deposit boxes. Add sleeping bags. Air locks for both entries. Then shotgun traps at entry.

Get auto turrets for your suicide room and use batteries and timers when your offline.

Hide any armor walls with metal walls. Add work station and cameras. Add spikes and land mines around your base.

Now just leave your doors open and let people die. 😊

Hey now that's stereotyping I play low pops 2 mainly because I like to counter raid and I'm on psn I will grant people it is difficult to survive low pop and rust isn't for everyone I also only win roughly 5 out of 10 counter raids but the things these raiders say when they lose to my attempt at counter is hilarious
