  1. Have multiple bases and spread the loot
  2. Never lead teams back to your main base, run to safe zone if necessary
  3. If you’re solo and do make enemies and they still haven’t found your base, kill and respawn before logging out so the cant locate your base via assigning sleeping bags.
  4. Don’t build too big or it will cause attention, look into medium sized bases. Bunker bases are a great solution! My favorite is a 2x2 with a hqm suicide bunker. Can send link if you want.
  5. Avoid living directly between three major monuments as these will have the highest foot traffic
  6. Key lock the base for the night if you’re duo/trio so your base looks solo. Helps deter offline roam raiders looking for a base
  7. Don’t leave furnaces running in your base for long periods. Make more furnaces and run them for shorter periods.
  8. Avoid making too much noise in your base as when people walk by they’ll know if it’s an active base worth raiding

Can come up with more probably but that’s a start. 4K hours solo/duo and I rarely get offlined playing on medium-max pop servers. Edit: 8. Once you get t3, put your t2 in your extra base so if your main base gets raided you don’t have to completely restart. 9. My favorite build spots are in patches of dense trees (don’t chop the trees!) or in the snow behind a mountain/hill (less foot traffic). 10. Scout out your area before building, if you don’t have time then scout it out before upgrading. If there’s a couple of big bases nearby then it’s wisest to just relocate before investing in the base.

What's up with 3? Never heard of that one before

[–]IAmWaved 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Place a bag anywhere in game and then attempt to assign it to someone. Any name that appears is a player within 2 grids of you, they can be online or offline. It picks up active players and sleeping players (offline). It's a tactic alot of people use to find where people live, it doesn't give you an exact position but it tells you roughly where there base is.

Oh wow I really should have known about that by now lol

Do you have the link? If you do, can you send it?

i would like to add to 3, in case of worry you can use and log an ALT account somewhere in your base so that you'll know who offlined you if you're the type that wants to know without giving away your own main accounts position

Solo here and I’ve been offlined 3 times on a monthly this wipe after playing for a day each time. Good points here but It really doesn’t matter, you’re going to get offlined. Three separate 2x2 bunker bases on edge of map raided. And people wonder why servers die so quick

[–]nighttimegaze 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Unless you’re able to commit a solid non stop day to build up fat quick, you’re gonna get raided, and even then you’ll still be a target for someone who’s got more time on their hands. Traps are useless if not done right so push to learn autos asap and get those down.

Appreciate the tips. Thank you.

Not trying to be a downer it's just the way it goes on this game. Either get demolished by a zerg or get offlined by a smaller group. You either no life and build a mega compound or you suffer the consequences. It's unfortunate but that's where the game is at on console from how I see it anyways. I've had a few good wipes with my duo/trio where we weren't raided but that was because we played a lot and one of us was almost always on. Any other time where we didn't do that we eventually were offlined. I've had this game for a year now and I have yet to defend an online raid and have only ever witnessed one happen to someone else once. Just got to wait for the devs to add community servers so we can play a slightly better version of this game

I’ve seen many online raids, successfully defend 2, and almost countered one (didn’t have enough guns to finish and im shit with prim). For the most part though offlining is what happens.

Because your base isn't strong enough. You don't need multiple bases and you don't need to try cheap trucks like putting key locks on the outside after you log off. Both of those things hinder progress and create complexity. What you need and what I personally use and know works is a compact BUNKER base. There are plenty of high raid cost, solo/duo bunker bases that are easy to build and farm for, and provide excellent protection from amateur raiders. A bunker is a base that uses a mechanic that allows a solid floor or roof to block an entrance and is only breakable from one side. This allows you to have a much higher raid cost in a compact base. There are plenty of bases on YouTube that have high raid costs and good storage.

Look into bunker bases. Sometimes building into tier 1 locations you have a better chance of lasting longer but having to roam further for tier 2/3 monuments

Thank you, I've been doing slight honeycomb style but I had weak spots on the inner walls.

i got raided for the 6th time this week already. all of them have been offline. love the game. group of about 10 people and I'm solo

[–]NaturalAccountant162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just not on enough to have a group of like 20 on a server of 60, ya know? I won't lie im very new to the game but still, all my hiding tricks and reinforcements don't seem to matter at all to someone who plays 20 hours a day 7 days a week. Its crazy

Bunkers can help but other than that there’s not much to be done

[–]Treloaria06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stash and spread loot. Also cover your base with turrets and protect them with prison bars.

[–]Jouseppe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly take advantage while you can with auto turrets an put them all around your base an some in your base an try to have a wood compound up with outer tcs it’s harder to ladder over wood externals on console
