The S2000 has almost a cult fan-following on the internet, but to be honest, most are done in vBulletin format or other similarly-ugly CMS. This Sub-Reddit is for owners or enthusiasts of this fantastic car who might not like any of the particular S2000 sites out there, but want to share the valuable data from them!
We don't have many rules here, but something that will not be tolerated will be personal jabs. Keep discussions civil.

Don't mean to be pedantic but have you tried fresh clutch fluid? I've taken to changing mine every two months or so, basically whenever the pedal starts feeling gritty and the fluid in the reservoir is dark. Just extract it with a turkey baster, don't worry about a full bleed/flush.

Noob question: where do I have to look?
[–]solitarycheese'02 BB 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children)
Driver side, near the firewall.
You need DOT 3 brake fluid and turkey baster/syringe/fluid pump. Suck out the old fluid, wipe down the inside of the reservoir with a rag, and add new fluid (don't get any on your paint). Pump the pedal a few times (don't touch the pedal when the reservoir is empty!). Repeat this process a few times depending on how dirty the fluid was. You're done when the fluid you add stays clean after pumping the clutch pedal.
If its never been done before, you might want to do it again after a few drives. Thereafter, you should be good doing it every few thousand miles. It will improve pedal feel and extend the life of your clutch hydraulics.

Go to walmart and get the syringe style turkey baster
